Thanks :j I might have known Lakeland would be the place to look. I am thinking of paying them a visit this weekend (if I can get up early enough - the prospect of Bromley town centre five days before Christmas =)

Hello all i have promised my sister my lovley old pram for her first baby due in feb but having got it down from the attic it is very damp, musty and mouldy in areas. I want to clean it up but do not want to use disinfectant etc for obvious reasons! Does anyone know of any good, natural or at least non chemical ways to clean the fabric. It does not come off the body of the pram otherwise i would just stick it in the washing machine. All help would be very appreciated as its such a lovley pram i hate the thought of it not being used again....thanks
You could make up a solution of biological washing liquid in water and spray that on to give a good clean. Then rinse very well with water to remove all traces of the bio liquid. You could use bio powder too but it does not dissolve so well! Milton is also a good disinfectant although not too sure how good it is at stain removal!
    Good luck.

    Ok, my question now:
Is there a Christmas goodies (cakes and the like!) recipe thread anywhere, or a list ?
    Thanks.
Am really looking for a Christmas cake recipe I can make today or tomorrow for the big day and wonder if a conventional one would be too late. Don't want something I have to make on the day or Eve though either (hard to please- me ? never lol).
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks, will just make a wee one following her recipe.
Tasting one in advance is always sensible lol (I always employ that rule when making anything with chocolate in!).

Hiya i've just found a full un opened tub of quark and a full un opened tub of low fat natural yoghurt lurking in the back of my fridge. The use by date for both was the 6th of december 08. I hate throwing food out , but as i've not been well lately i've obviously forgotten about them.
Will they be ok to use now if i use it all in one go? I'm currently following slimming world and usually use both of these to make low fat sauce for my lasagne. I was gonna make one big one then freeze it. What do you think?
Appologise if this has already been asked/answered before. I did a search but nothing came up:o
    Thanks in advance

  • Nickynoo08- I would probably open them and smell them and then decide! I think cheese is generally pretty safe to eat after the date especially if you are cooking it :)
