I'm sure that's what I always used to use, it's a bit creamier in taste than 'normal' milk.

Yes the marinade is quite thick, I just cook it in the marinade, it dries and goes a little charred in places, very nice. Don't worry about not adding the oil, it won't matter that much but it does help to keep the chicken moist.

The dish your cooking it in gets it baked on as well, just soak it in hot water with a bit of biological washing powder and leave overnight.

because the marinade is quite a thick yoghurt mixture and i wasnt sure if this gets cooked in a thick layer over the chicken and some recipes said, 'brush oil over the chicken' but i cant brush oil over a wet yoghurt mixture if you see what i mean

I've bought a 2kg lump of drycured unsmoked gammon specifically for using in sandwiches. I've never cooked gammon apart from steaks though so don't know what to do with this. Basic instructions say to roast at 160 (fan) for 2.5 hours (30 mins/500g plus 30) but I see things about soaking gammon and doing things with various fluids...I just want to cook it so it will slice nicely and be tender in sandwiches. Any tips?

Edit I also have a 1.2kg piece of silverside that I want to roast at same time whilst oven is on. So any tips on how this will affect cooking times etc greatly appreciatedà
