Even if you just chop 'em up and freeze, they'll be good for those purposes!Signature removed for peace of mind0

I've bought some Hummous from Asda and it's lovely, but I'm desperately trying to use it up as it's just about on its date.
For future purchases, I'd like to know is it possible to freeze it?
Doesn't say anything about freezing/not freezing on the packet - so not sure whether to give it a try.
It's often on whoopsie in our local shop and would be a great one for 'putting by' if I can.

Cheers for that Zippy :T - now that I've discovered 'the joy that is hummous' I'm going to experiment with my own .
Didn't realise that it tastes a little like savoury peanut butter lol.0 -
I need to make some decorations for buns out of 'ready rolled' icing... The thing is I have 120 to do , so was thinking about making a start on them now and then storing them in tupperware containers untill I need them on the 23rd December, would this be ok? I don't want to give everyone food poisoning for Christmas!
Basically, all I would be doing is rolling the icing into 'ball' shapes and decorating with a cocktail stick dipped into food colouring (to make a snowman's head)
I am just wanting to do the Snowman heads now, and will ice and make the buns nearer the time
like these I made the other year:Busy working Mum of 3

I'm sorry, I have no idea of the answer to your question, but I just want to say how much I love your snowmen. Thanks for the photo - they're fantastic!Back after a very long break!0

those buns are fabulous! I've never done it myself, but I imagine it would keep perfectly. Icing keeps for ages, doesn't it? So i don't imagine it would matter as long as it's kept airtight.
Those buns are fab, and i LOVE the user name (for obivous reasons)

Hello all.
I took some sausages out the freezer Monday night, and forgot about them. Will they be safe to eat this evening?0
