  • Had a gleeful flinging out session in the shed today!

OH and Dad had been asked to sort it a couple of weeks ago, they spent two hours rearranging and came out with a carrier bag of rusty old tins. To my dismay, when I returned to the shed - there was no difference!

So, grabbing the opportunity today, I went out there. Cleared a few sackfuls of rubbish and emptied 8 stackable storage crates!

Brought up a drill to the house to test if it worked - yet no one had any prior knowledge of it!

I don't know why I have ever bothered to buy a toolbox in my life - every one I opened was bare barring a handful of rusty screws!!!

Some people have things taken from our shed - I swear someone is putting stuff in our shed!:rotfl: :rotfl:

    Other stuff out via freecycle:
    • Light fitting which was kicking around the house for years
    • Stainless steel sink and drainer
    • Half a roll of insulation - excess to requirements
Two bags of junk gone to tip

Plus I have one box of charity box items to handover tomorrow and a large carrier of paperbacks ready for the hospital when I go there for my appt on the 30th.

Oh, and another plus point to report on is that I have managed to resurrect my dining room from the cardboard box city it had become as the utility room is finished and our lovely storage units are in place!!!!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Last post before Xmas I expect:

    IN:
Clothes for DS2 from a friend (mainly stright into attic, as currently too big)
Bday pressies for DD from her friends
    Xmas pressies from people
    Socks for DH
Wine for DH - work presents
Baby back carrier (ours, loaned to someone and returned)

    OUT:
    Xmas pressies to people
    Bday present to 1 person
    Broken toys
goody bags of 'stuff' for DDs party
1 keyring (nice one, so passed on to a friend)
    2 DVDS (freecycle)
About 9 pairs of socks (recycling)
1 pair of school trousers (hole in) (recycling)
1 tshirt of mine (hole in) (recycling)
1 top of DDs (grubby and too small) (recycling)

Come January we are having a massive sort out on stuff ready for loft conversion and arrival of another babe (not until May). Loft conversion means everyone will be moving bedrooms - so each bedroom MUST be fully sorted before moving into the next one (applies to all - mine is just as bad the childrens)

I have a large pile of card & plastic recycling to take to supermarket tomorrow (where does it all come from?!) and will also visit library with DD.

:santa2: :snow_laug Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!!

Food and drink for Christmas - won't be around for long though

    OUT
    Fur jacket via ebay
    Spare dongle via ebay
    Two Christmas hampers

Had to try on three skirts for work this morning before finding one that fitted, have lost a stone and a half and dropped two dress sizes. So January will bring a massive clear out of wardrobe, a big ebay session for the good stuff and a couple of trips to the charity shop with the rest.
