The Great Declutter - 18 months on

some books (4?) from my mum
more xmas pressies!
library books (3 for me - oops - and 20 for DD & 1 for DS2)

Out:
1 pr flip flops (recycling)
2 pairs school tights (recyling)
17 library books DD and 3 from me
lots of soaps & solid shampoo to homeless shelter
more soaps and bath bombs etc sold at craft fair = money in - yippee!
some veggie plants from summer onto compost heap (better late than never!)

am doing another fair this wekend and 2 next week so can hopefully get rid of some more stuff - with baby no 4 due in May I'm planning on taking a break from soaping so am having a sale to turn stock into money When the fairs have finished and I've shoved bits in people's Xmas pressies I shall probably have a good ebaying session of moulds and stuff (when they have a cheapy listing day, of course!!)

I wondered if I could join in, despite not being a proper OS MSEr! I've been lurking on this thread as I find it quite inspirational, but if I post I might find I stop bringing things IN. I really want to make sure that the amount going to landfill is as little as possible as well.

Loading the car up with some boxes of books, clothes etc for a boot sale over the weekend. Hope most of it doesn't come back!

1 bag of baby clothes in the car - ready to give to one of the school mums for her DD ( I forgot to take them with me this afternoon!!!:mad: )

Slowly delcuttering my packed house from the rubbish I couldn't stop myself buying over the last few years

Declutter this week one yew cupboard sold £25
4 books on amazon market place (never read) and 2 cd's total £50
one hat I have NEVER worn, just stored in a box for EIGHT years (!) £23, at last it has a new home

Next week hoping ebay sells more and amazon sells the rest - pleased with the advice on this site about decluttering and selling on or giving away. Forgot to mention finally took a bag of heavier items and books to a charity shop which have meant to do so for a year.

Sorry before I sound too self righteous I didn't realise I should have put OUT and IN. All the above went out and IN too many beauty products I pretend are chrissy pressies.

The good news is the bedroom is starting to look like a bedroom, the bad news is my hands have been ripped to shreds with the shelving unit, i'm not finished yet and i'm way too cold.

Things are going to get worse before they get better here, as the builder arrives tomorrow to start the bathroom.
