Been a quiet few days with not so much decluttering gone...

    In:
    More food...

    Out:
1 black sac and a carrier bag of rubbish

I like the idea of 10 items a day... might steal that idea! 3650 a year sounds good to me!!

Sorry about the bunny Pigpen... :(
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

  • The trouble about being so relaxed about posting on here is that I forget where I have got to!

So over the last few days:

    IN
    Groceries
Electric knife (dear heart insists that he couldn't possibly have his vital bacon sandwiches made from home made bread, and I am hoping this very reasonably priced bargain from ebay will help change his mind)
    Knitting needles
Enough wool to clothe a flock of sheep (comfort buying)
    Two lamps

    Out
Three bags of rubbish/clothes plus the usuals for the binmen.
    Three lamps (all broken)
Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!

I'm off on a holi-holiday tomorrow as well greent. Will be back next Tuesday, but off work until the following Monday, so will have an awful lot of threads to catch up on.
It will give me five days to declutter though. I must make the curtains, that I should have made a year ago, and charity shop the old ones.
    In
    New coffee table with drawers
    Out
Old coffee table with no storage at all

The new one has two really deep drawers, and a glass top, so you have to keep the drawers tidy, as the contents can be seen. The top drawer has my stash of wool, artfully arranged, of course. The bottom drawer contains all my Avon paperwork, etc.

Argh I need to get decluttering - went to Boots Christmas event today - got lots of goodies and saved lots of money (and used points to treat myself to some makeup) but now the stuff if piling up.

We've been doing some bits to our bathroom recently so the house is a bit of a state with that.

Hopefully this weekend we can finish the bathroom and make an improvement on the rest of the house too

In: Tea tree shampoo and conditioner (3 for £2). Loaf bread. 4 multipacks sweets as reduced and half term next week. 1 more pair school trousers for DS (been at school all of 5 mins and outgrown others!). 2pts milk. New spirit level. 2 packs of light bulbs. 1 marrow & some spuds from MiL's allotment.
Out: 5 milk bottles. 1 large sheet plasterboard. 1/2 bag plaster. 3 general rubbish sacks. 2 coffee jars. 1 jam jar. (I hope it's recycling day tomorrow.

I bought some LED GU10 bulbs for the kitchen and they are awful. Since they were fitted last week, 2 have blown and I can't see what I'm doing. I can't wash dishes after tea cause I can't see a thing and it's like a moonlit evening in there. I think I shall be returning them! They are also wildly different in their brightness in the same fitting?
MiL was trying to wash up in the dark earlier, cheeky mare, I could hear her saying to DH "How long have these milk bottles been here (in to soak), you've got 5 here. Hello! I used 2 pts for tea, 1 is from Monday and was clean on drainer, the other 2 have been used since yesterday. I forgot it was Wednesday so I didn't put out the empties or the milkmans money this morning just crawled into my bed!
Reckon tomorrow we will declutter at least 1/2 bag plaster again, 1-2 sheets plaster board and all the junk paper as I will light the fire when I get DD home from swimming.

We swapped our hall and landing lights to LED bulbs - couldn't work out whether they were on or off half the time:rolleyes: - have swapped the hall ones back but as even when the switch is 'off' the landing ones are 'on' just a lot dimmer (yes it is possible:D ) we use them as a nightlight upstairs. Have no idea why they do this:confused: . Really want to use energy saving bulbs in rest of house (but can't find ones that fit fittings and work with dimmer switch:o ).

    IN:
    groceries
