Right... I want to join in!

I have a house full of boxes.
    I moved here in MARCH!
I have been so ill this year, I have not been able to do anything at all.
I need to sort the house out in a major way, cleaning, decluttering, everything.

I have a HUGE pile of junk mail and letters for the previous tenants.

So.. I'm still recovering from surgery, so things are slow at the moment, and the house is a disaster as the last few months I've been stuck in bed.

Bin day is tomorrow morning, so bin bags should be out tonight, but I've run out!
    Disaster!

So unfortunately I have to wait until next weds night to throw anything out.

So that's a big problem, but nothing I can do about it.
The weather was terrible when we were in town, and I totally forgot I had no bin bags, and we were out to have our very belated anniversary meal (8 yrs was Nov 4th, but I was really sick all the time back then from the surgery).
So I'm not going to get depressed or upset about it. It happens.
I can't nip out to the shop now, as I can't walk that far, and my electric wheelchair has a flat tyre at the moment.

So... we go shopping on Friday.
I shall buy bin bags, and swing bin liners for the kitchen bin.
I am only allowed to throw 3 bin bags away each week.

How do you cope with a limited bin?
I know I could throw TONS away... but I don't have the bin space!

I'm going to ring the council tomorrow and get a recycling box. And find out recycling days (I think they're the same as the bin day, but every other week).
That should help. Also get a list from them of what I can and can't put in it.

I am starting from the beginning.
I have never decluttered in my life, and the state of my house shows it!

So any good tips for newbies?

don't try to do a whole room - start with a drawer...then move on to a cupboard.

regular rewards - like a cup of tea - are a good idea!
