Every so often I pop in here and get inspired to do something.... but then I get bogged down again, so not a lot changes. Am tempted to wait until the New Year and then say I'll make a real effort - but tell myself that that would mean 28 days more with creeping clutter taking over! OK, I'll tackle one small area today ( and maybe tomorrow too!) Could be I'll be 28 days nearer being tidy by the New year instead!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

you are all doing so so well. I need help. My and OH are natural hoarders, we have so much stuff. House is bursting at seams. Lots of toys lots of clothes and lots of stuff.

I need to make a good start.

I used to tell mine that if they wanted anything new for christmas, they had to make room for it by having a clearout for the charity shop BEFORE Christmas arrived. Amazing how much stuff they could sort out then !

  • In: My 2 DHL packages (1 top and 1 pair of jeans). No mail.

Out: 1 magazine, some more food (eaten).

Out: A pair of trousers I bought which aren't right; going to attempt to exchange them (no receipt and no label but labelled incorrectly, eg fit 2 sizes bigger than the size says). Time will tell what happens with this.

I failed completely at posting every day since coming back last week.

This week has mainly been an in week as it's OH's birthday - well I had bought most his presents beforehand but they had been put away.

I've almost filled a bin liner with rubbish though - quite a bit from the kitchen - so it isn't all bad and we put lots of recycling out earlier in the week.

I have Monday off work and need to put together a list of what I must do!

  • Pending out (waiting til bag is full before going to charity shop): 1 top, 1 pair of trainers.

In: 2 pairs of knickers, necklace, 2 pairs of work trousers, 1 pair of trousers, 1 work top, 1 pair of winter socks, 1 CD/DVD set, 2 CDs (one a gift from a friend), 1 pair of smart shorts, 1 pair of trainers, 1 other pair of trousers for work which I received as my exchange for the trousers I took back earlier (see last post of mine).

Doing a good chunk of decluttering the next few days before work.

I've been doing a fair bit of cheer me up clothes shopping recently, so I've had a lot in recently. I am in a permanent state of decluttering!

    Yesterday
    In:
My claim letter for my broken camera

    Out:
    Food waste recycling
    Massive bag of paper recycling
Smaller bag of plastics and glass recycling

    Pending:
    Massive bag for charity shop
    Book to friend

Also got round to putting away my washing so my kitchen looks a lot tidier
