I am a bit of a neat freak and can't bear the thought of clutter and disorder- on the whole the house is very tidy (thanks to me and me alone I hasten to add- DH is very messy by nature!)
I did sort out my underwear drawer last night- it looks lovely now, everything in it's place- I have those drawer separators which help.
Going to sort the children's drawers out next.
It saves so much time, being able to see where everything is and I always jot down anything that needs replacing at the time.
Good luck to everyone else doing the same thing!0 -
I am about to emigrate, so currently half my clothes are in Canada, maybe more, as I have been taking some out on each visit. (OH is based there already). I cant believe how much easier life is with half as many clothes, and I honestly dont think anyone has noticed.
I dont know if it would help anyone to simply store half your clothes for a yr as an experiment and promise not to shop for more. It has transofrmed how I look at my wardrobe, only having acces to half as much stuff.
This week I have taken a whole car full of stuff to my friend who sells stuff for charity, there are 2 bags for the charity shop in my car, along with a quilt for the rspca and I have taken the old computers to work so they can go into storage with the other work stuff that has to be stored.
Only 3 weeks til we move now, I really really need to do something with the garage very very soon eek!Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0 -
Yesterday sorted out a coouple of drawers in my room but today was spurred on by the idea of a table top sale at DD school tommorrow. Between DD and me we have cleared
5 bin bags ready for the tip
4 big shopping bags of stuff for Table top
10 books for ebay
20 clothing items for ebay
Feels like only made a dent in the pile but DD room looking better just needs a good organise now.
In Presants for DD birthday in August.
Loaf of bread.
Hope to make a bit of cash at Table top then will attempt ebay.

Well I made it to Oz in one peice
We are in a temp rental at the moment, still hunting down a long term rental which hasnt been as easy as expected but hey.
I have to say, im not missing half the things that are currently been shipped here! I have far too many clothes and bits that i dont use, i can feel an even bigger de-clutter when our container arrives in 6 weeks time.
So as we are in a furnished rental at the moment but will be taking on an unfurnished one shortly and will therefore be furniture-less for around 4 weeks whilst we are waiting for our things........
