Thanks to all for your advice in answer to your question Red Fraggle the intention is to sell what I can of what I decide we want to throw. Also have enlisted DD help and had a sort of her room last night with 1 bin bag of rubbish and about the same again in bits and bobs for ebay or car boot. Still loads to tackle in her room and the incentive for her is that she wants a more grown up room also her birthday in August. Will let her keep proceeds from old toys etc from her room she is always saving for something which is great. Just about to go armed with bin bags to my room as this is where everything ends up from the spare room when my parents arrive and they are due on 4th August. So catch you later hopefully with loads of stuff for ebay and the bin man. Must get on only 2 hrs till end of school. Moneytree12016 £31138 Debt free ?

Thanks, I feel so motivated that I'm off to clear 'Boot Hole' which hasn't been touched for atleast 4 years! I really should get around to doing whole house but............. .

oh yes! do join us. Car boot, or even better a garage sale and eBay are fab. What I do is try to sell stuff, then if it doesnt go I list it immediately on Freecycle or take to charity shop or the tip. Whatever happens it must go!
What I found is that I got rid of about 75% of my possessions [yes!] most of it given away, and it made me think more about what I bought and buy less."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
Can I ask for a little encouragement?
I have to face the fact that I have clothes I'm never going to squeeze my carcase into again. The trouble is, they're to my taste, still good, and I don't like getting rid of things that are to my taste and useable..... you see the problem.
Also, trying them on to check if I can still get into any is problematic, as I have to have assistance with dressing at the best of times. So I end up keeping them "in hope".
Ideas, encouragement, kicks up the backside (gentle ones please!) all welcome.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
What does everyone do with all their stuff they have de-cluttered? There is only so much you can put in the bins (collection every fortnight). We have just decorated DD's bedroom, decluttered it first - took two trips to the tip (20 mile trip). Now we have a taken apart wardrobe, taken apart cabin bed and old carpet sitting in our garden  As well as two boxes of broken/old toys.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0
