Hi, Ive not been around on here for ages. Reading about boning chickens reminded me of my latstest money saving food feasts. I bought a ham hock for £2.35 and it has fed four adults for two days and we still have enough broth to do today too.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here in forever but I've just been catching up on some posts and want to say thanks for the recipes and great tips, especially for tofu which I'm not keen on.:T

We're living in Kathmandu at the mo so most OSing is on hold, still stocking up on good ideas for when we get back though! :T

I'm sorry I've forgotten who but someone on here is doing a £2 a day challenge for the year - I'd be really interested to hear more about this, do you have a diary on here? Thanks.

flippin' heck bails, I have a serious case of lifestyle envy now. Very well done you and I hope it is wonderful as it sounds.

Is the £2 a day thing our Weezl? I seem to remember the latest budget was £1 a day for her and Mr Weezl, not sure where any posts are tho - anyone else know?
  • our weezl is living as frugally as ever but has little time to post being a mummy to a super dupa intelligent boy who likes lots of attention!
Have been doing pretty well on frugal living but still could do better but a vast improvement on what I was like before!
Bails fab for you! My mum set up a charity in a small school just near Thimi so that girls can et an education; if you would like to visit let me know...she loves it there and goes back every couple of years and they treat her like family!

Ah, thanks everyone. I feel very lucky and it is a fantastic experience so far! My sig has changed slightly if you want to see some recent developments... ;)

Thanks for trying to help with the £2 a day thing - it wasn't Weezl, someone else had it in their sig and I think they were trying to live off £2 a day for everything in 2009. I'll see if I can track it down, can't remember which of Weezl's threads I saw it on!

ISOM, I know Weezl isn't around much now and I know she's very busy with Fergus but I was hoping you could ask her if she might get in touch with me please, as I would really appreciate her advice on a big project I'm hoping to set up?
    Thanks a lot.

Your mum's project sounds interesting ISOM, def be interested in hearing more.

    Have a good day everyone!

Hello Bails, it was me! Not an official MSE challenge, just a personal journey for me and my OH. It's been going well with only an occasional wobble - will happily write about my experiences if you're interested!

Congratulations to you both Bails! How romantic :T

There must be something in the air - on rather more English soil, my OH asked me to marry him whilst we were away in Suffolk last week
