hello all...waves!
Re the mats...my thinking is that they are worth every penny just for the reassurance that the littleuns are breathing...didnt have them when I nannied and remember often trying to hear breathing and no sleep...this way you know theyre ok cos it beeps if they stop and flashes to say its working...only down side is that sleepy people like me forget to pause it when taking fergs for feed in the middle of night...at least we know it works!!
Am currently having withdrawal symptoms as havent hugged my best boy for a WHOLE week and if I'm not correctly mistaken thats the first time since he arrived!! Just wont do...weezl can you out a rotating fan by his cot - like the one I leant you for birth and is currently helping me sleep...would up the elec costs but would be worth it me thinks?!!?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I have my 21month granddaughter for the weekend. I get her in the morning, till Sunday tea time. My only fear is that the garden is not fenced off, and the road is busy. I am going to ask the neighbours, who have a huge grassed area at the top of the drive, where my car is parked, and see if we can take her up there, weather permitting. I am sure they wont mind, as they have let me sit up there before.
Spent £8.13 at the butcher's van this morning, but I would probably have spent a lot more if I had gone into the nearest town. I would also have had to top up the petrol. (I want to wait another day if I can.)When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just reporting in with the results of the tinned fruit sorbet. It worked alright, and the mixture would make lovely lollies if poured into moulds, but I missed out a step by mistake and the thing froze in one lump. I have broken it up a little and mixed it around but it has biiiiig lumps in it. It's tasty thought
Might make them as lollies next time and just use the sorbet recipe itself (with less sugar) for sorbets as the result is a bit softer. Useful experiment though
I daresay it'd work alright if I had remembered to break up the ice crystals first time around
Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -
