Just a quick note on this.....it may be worth checking out your local 99p or poundland store. I have seen the crystal deodorants in there before...but already got mine from boots when they were on offer.....

I'm guessing here - but I would think that deodorant "recipe" would come under 50p per bottle worth....

Been scouting out the sloe bushes my mother told me about - there's LOADS of them! In fact, our local dene is like a supermarket of free foods. Yey!

Gonna have a go at Weezl's onion chutney, wish me luck!

Haven't tried it yet Weezl but I'll take a tub with me tomorrow when we go mountain biking because the woods we go to are filled with it. Also pretty sure they have a lot of mushrooms kicking about in them so might read up on edible and easily-found varieties.

    Thanks for the tip ;)

lol re my typo!! Make em all the time..worst one was when I get a return email saying my message was delited as obscene ...thought I had typed "thought of you when I walked past your office" but had actually typed when I wa*ked past your office..." replacing an n for an l unfortunetely... thankfully a well known person with sence of humor and was a genuine error but did cause much amusement!!
Will have a look for shampoo but weezl uses asda smartprice and has gorgeous hair so give it a try!! Sommat ridiculous like 14p..weezl can you confirm/deny?!!
Cazz be careful, really careful, with foragging mushrooms as some are highly toxic..

    Hi...
A bit of a lurker in this thread :o:D

There was a thread a few day, that was asking about HM conditioner...
LINKY that had some quite good ideas, if you needed goooood conditioner as the OP of that thread did...

But there was also another link within it that did seem to have alot of herbal/natrual alternatives.
I am not sure if they would work out cheaper or not, but it might be worth checking out
    LOOKY LINKY

really sorry I can't remember who posted the tip about these:

    001568.jpg?ts=633353102020

being 2 for £3 or 5p per 100g (cheaper than smartprice!)

    but I bought it!;)

so now am thinking of lots of creative things to do with pasta....

I remember a jewish pudding made with pasta, I'll see if I can find that too!

    eta:
[FONT=Arial, Arial, Helvetica]Tagiatelle Jewish Style (Noodle Kugel)
    Tagliatelle all'ebraica

Homemade pasta made with 2 eggs and 1 1/2 cups flour or
    3 1/4 pounds fresh fettucine
    3 quarts water
    1 1/2 tablespoons salt
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 cup milk
    2 cups ricotta, moisture reduced
    1/2 cup dark, seedless raisins
    1/2 cup pinoli (pine nuts)
    Grated rind of 1 lemon
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    Dash ginger
    4 tablespoons butter
    1/4 cup fine breadcrumbs

Roll the dough thin and cut into tagliatelle with the largest cutter. Bring the water to a boil. Add the tagliatelle and salt. As soon as boiling resumes, drain the pasta well and place in a large bowl. (If you use store-bought fresh egg noodles cook half the time recommended by the manufacturer.) Add all the other ingredients except the butter and mix well to combine.
Butter an overproof lasagna dish and coat it with breadcrumbs. Transfer the tagliatelle into it, flatten with a rubber spatula, and dot with butter. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for approximately 30 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature. serves 6
