My boyfriend joined last week only and he definately haven't had click through on Dream Ireland cottages, but there is no 10p for it!! I am sure I haven't clicked on it before either, but I don't have 10 p... I am a member just a few weeks as well.

This one didn't work for me either, pretty sure I haven't had it before...
2p off is still 2p off!
  • absolutely great news on the boots vouchers darragh VERY much appreciated.

Can i just point out though you too have to understand that most of us have either been fobbed off or ignored by pigsback that then makes us feel unappreciated at customers. It works both ways.

thanks again for all your replies :j

finally managed to track down the picture of it by typing in go west ireland on the search bar a few times till it appeared but it was not shown as a 10pp and i definately havent had it before and ive been a member since june i know i havent had it before because i checked through my piggypoint history
    Thanks to all who post
  • I would just like to say to Darragh that myself, family and friends have been members of pigsback since june and have had no problems yet with points being awarded or L2S vouchers arriving or anything else arriving that we have ordered ie CDWOW vouchers and have had all emails replied to promptly.
I can understand peoples complaints and frustration as had i had these problems i would be the same
We all think pigsback is a great site with the potential to be even greater.
Just thought id let you know so that your not just reading complaints and querys on these 2 pigback threads and to say thank you
    Thanks to all who post

  • When should these boots vouchers be available online and to what value will they be?
  • Thx so much Darragh, this website is great and I think that some people are just overreacting sometimes. After all, it is getting something for nothing, so really there is no need to be abusive or anything. It is not like some of us are lsoing loads of money!

I'm afraid I wasn't able to log in as I thought on Thursday or Friday due to some personal business and workload. Plus, as many of you have kindly pointed out, I'm not paid to spend the day answering your queries here, much as I think it's needed.
That was a shame. Perhaps it's best not to promise. In view of what comes up later in this post, I'll just add here that I was one who posted that you would be unable to spend day after day dealing with problems raised here, much as I understand that I'm one of the main askers of questions!
    Darraghd wrote:
So a new forum thread eh? Wow, to think this was all caused by us! Well it goes to show that we're offering something of interest.
Yes, indeed! I hope that your competitors are standing back and taking a really good look at what PB is achieving here, both in terms of your offer to the public and to the popularity the site has achieved in a very short space of time. (I'm sure your offer to the corporate sector is good, too, but as I'm not involved, I can't really comment).

Having read all of your posts I really have to ask some of you to step back and take a deep breath and look at the fact that this is one website dealing with x amount of people and having to help most of them with their queries.
I accept that. Unfortunately, when you offered to help out on here, it appeared to be the answer to all problems to so many folks. I'm sure you didn't know what you were letting yourself in for. If there's a criticism there, it's that you were naive.
    Darraghd wrote:
The negative, smarmy attitude doesn't help and isn't appreciated, since we're only trying to help as much as we can.
That'll be me, then! ;) Well, Darragh, if you go back through our PMs of last Monday, you'll see exactly why I thought I had some grounds for cynicism this week. Then there was a failure to turn up as promised. Yes, things happen, stuff gets in the way, but there's always a means to send a short message to say, "I'll be back soon." About our PMs, some folk on here warned me about giving too much away, and, frankly, I have been quite concerned.

    So on your points above...

    * Darragh showing up here

Done. Apologies for not being able to last week. I'm not hiding from you all but we do have a website to run here!
    Excellent!

    * as many posts as last Monday

    No idea.
    No, none of us has.

    * the final L2S vouchers appearing on PB

The latest update on this is that it may be December before this happens, if at all. We will be replacing them with Boots vouchers (due live today or tomorrow) and others which have to be confirmed.

That's good news! A lot of folks on here seem to be looking forward eagerly to getting Boots vouchers! I'd like to remind you, too, of someone's suggestion of "Choice" High Street vouchers, which would also be popular, I think.

    * eBay points being credited

Again, if you've registered with eBay for the first time through Pigsback.com and made a bid on an item your PiggyPoints should be credited. If you are having problems, email postmaster including your confirmation email, an alternative address we can cc you on and if you'd like us to telephone you a telephone number...
In my case, already done, with full details sent, on several occasions, both to you personally and also to Rachel. My email contained the full registration details from eBay, plus the headers from their email, and I also sent the email that demonstrated my first bid, which was not successful, along with the headers for that email, too. Pretty comprehensive, I thought. But no reply.

    * Lightspeed points being credited

So far over 10,000 members have had their lightspeed points credited fine. Not sure why you would have problems. If you are having problems, email postmaster including your confirmation email, an alternative address we can cc you on and if you'd like us to telephone you a telephone number...

Exactly as per my comments on eBay above. I have given up on these two issues. It's just not worth the hassle.

    * six genuinely NEW click-throughs appearing

Ah, an interesting one that I've followed up on. Right. Apologies for the mixed messages on this...

So if you've alresady got 10 PP from clicking through on these offers previously, you won't get them again. Which seems fair... Again, sorry about any confusion I caused there!
Apology certainly accepted. So it's clear that it is not six new click-throughs each week, then. And they could come on any day, not necessarily Monday.

I must say, I did think that I have already received 10 points for some of the companies who've been promoted in this way over the last few weeks. In other words, I do seem to have had more than one click-through for some advertisers. I could very easily be wrong, though!

*Anyone gets a reply email from pigsback

Terribly unfair comment. MAJORLY unfair! We reply to in excess of 500 individual queries every day. The reasons people don't get replies are they haven't us added to safe lists or contact lists, their email filter settings are off, their ISP blovks our mails, they haven't included their registered pigsback.com email address so we can't check their account, they don't include other contact details, they'll have a query like "my voucher hasn't arrived" and they ordered it the day before, they put a wrong address (or more often NONE) on their accounts, they haven't specified which of the 3 or 4 vouchers they've ordered hasn't arrived etc etc. You're being unfair and unrealistic here and it's a real pity you've got this view. It goes back to the attitude not being appreciated thing again. It's nice to be nice.
Phew! There's a telling-off for everyone! Every time you receive an email, it has an email address attached to it. Granted, it may not be the same one as was used to register with PB. In which case, a short "We cannot trace this account. Please re-submit your enquiry with your registered PB email address" sort of reply would put a quick end to the frustration that some less experienced users may have experienced.

But I come back to a previous point. In my own case, I have had quite a number of emails left unanswered. Sorry, that's the truth. Other, apprently web-savvy people on MSE have reported the same thing.

Another point I might make is that replies to 500+ emails daily would not be necessary if systems functioned properly. Or am I just naive there?

    *Snapfish points are credited

I'll ensure that this is done on Friday of this week. No idea why it hasn't happened but again if you are having problems, email postmaster including your confirmation email, an alternative address we can cc you on and if you'd like us to telephone you a telephone number...

Again, people have done this and have received no reply.

I must point out that I have received my Snapfish points. In fact, I believe that I have received them twice. Please adjust my account if that is correct.

*Tracking for ASOS points will ever work

Again wasn't aware we'bve had problems and I'm assured it's working. If you went through a paged saved in your favourites, don't do that and if you're looking for points owed, send your receipt into postmaster including your confirmation email, an alternative address we can cc you on and if you'd like us to telephone you a telephone number...
I haven't used the ASOS link, so have no personal comment to make. However, it seems clear from the number of people who have commented on this that there is a problem with the functionality of its tracking system.

I don't know how you can say that you weren't aware of the ASOS problem, as it has been highlighted numerous times in these threads, both before and since you joined us. It's exactly that kind of thing that makes people think that perhaps their messages are not really being taken on board.

A lot of you have given us/me positive feedback for coming on here and "facing" you lot.

Me very much included. I think you're very brave, but MAD!!!
    Darraghd wrote:
I enjoy it and I really want your help in improving the website, but PLEASE be aware we're doing what we can, we're not complacent on issues and we're trying our best!
    Message received and understood!

I'm really very sorry if my attitude appears to be "negative", "smarmy", or in any other way impolite. The fact is that since I joined PB in July, I have experienced a lot of frustration with the site, and I have been a disgruntled customer. When dealing with PB staff directly, I have always been extremely polite, grateful when a query is answered (and I respond with a "thanks" email), and I have never sent a rude email, despite feeling the provocation from time to time!

    I'm sure I'm not alone.

Last week in one of your PMs to me, you said: "I think you may be owed ... for all your help!"

I replied: "That's very kind of you, Darragh, but I think I've been rather more of a pain in your side than a help!"

You then replied: "anything that improves this site is a help! You think it frustrates you????!?"

    Well, yes! Sometimes!! ;):)

Apologies to all fellow MSE-ers for the length of this post. Got to get it off my chest!!
