Morning everyone
Been up since six and it's taken that long to get DF out of the house and catch up on the thread. You know, I do have an amazing man...he was more concerned about leaving us than I was about staying here alone:) Gave us huge hugs too
Soappie Thank you. Ive always been aware of picture rails but not dado’s. Thats just my luck though because I’d be far more appreciative of a picture rail. Your sisters technique is a good one...my stepmum was very good at that and even earned herself the nickname “superb**ch”-how else did I survive the ex and his dragon mother. I try but I think I’m just too transparent to pull it off.
Nicky good luck with the essay
SS OMG! She could be...I tell you there’s two of ‘em. This one moved here last year from California...no wait...she’s from the Bronx...mmm, or is it Berkley...yup thats where Princeton is right? No its not ( so where is Princeton anyway-I know she did go there) (I never told her that I knew that, but its pretty easy for anyone who watches Gilmore girls to know) Enough, Im being mean now. Anyway, as for the panic buying...Im guilty too. I start in the January sales but then I never keep checklists so everyone ends up getting tons of stuff that really isn’t worth it. So Im glad I have my list now-I’ve already checked off what I bought yesterday and I have cleared a shelf in the bedroom for them to live for now (now if I could just find those lovely cards I bought yesterday)
Valli DF says its my own fault as I have a high benchmark. DS’s godmother and I met at work when I was 21, she was a few years older but we got on so well from the beginning. We shared a desk cluster and were always getting in it for lacking on targets. I found out I was pregnant the day she had a hysterectomy due to severe problems (she’s never even been in a relationship nevermind had children) and to this day she says DS was sent to both of us, our power decided he was best for both of us and she has no idea how she would have dealt with that op without the news about DS. We’ve lived in each others houses off and on when the need arose and when I came over here I nearly missed my plane because she wouldn’t let go of me! We still email every day and talk as often as we can. DF wants to pay for a plane ticket for her too for the wedding as she’s always treated him like a brother in law. She’s a beautiful person who inspires me and allows me to inspire her too. And I’m pretty sure finding anyone here even similarily as wonderful (but no, Im not looking for a replacement-I already have her) will be a very hard nut to crack.
Triker Glad DD is okay, Well done on the WL
Johanne Have a wonderful day today-remind me to tell you tomorrow about my first birthday after having DS.
DeniseF I’ve gone list mad too. DF fell asleep on the couch and when he woke up I had made a list of his personals and gone through his project plan (I told him not to leave his mess on my desk!) and broke down the equipment he needed to take from home. I hadn’t packed it though coz I didn’t know what bag he wanted it in. Then this morning I got an ultra compliment from him. DS was tipping his cup up to pour his tea on the floor. He went to fetch a rag and when he came back he said to DS “gawd you’re like living with your mum BF”. I asked what BF was and he looked at me with this “look” and said “before flylady”. Oh, and I also want a macaw please.
Right, off to post my list and then a cuppa (my first for the day) then to the shower. I think DS might have a good nap after our outing today-he's been up since six too, which is very early for him.0 -

Morning all.
Have just posted my list. Its long and looks scary but because I have been keeping on top of things should not take too long. Most of the stuff will wait til the kids are both asleep over lunch time. DS kkeps shaking DD's bouncy chair shouting "wake up Jessica!!"
Nikki - Hope you finish your essay. I respect all those at college. I couldn't go back now. Think I have lost all my study discipline....errractually I don't think I really had any.
Pigpen - I would do the course that your heart is in. You will find a way to manage everything else. Your clan will all just have to adapt and chip in. It will be worth it in the long run
Johanne - Happy birthday chick
Right off to hang the washing out. Anyone up for HHC 9:15 - 9:45?0 -
Morning all, just running to say hi, see you all at lunchtime I'm off to look at DahliasThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
