My sister lives in North Yorkshire and I'm pretty sure she was able to travel to durham and get one for her daughter when she realised she hadn't got one! Hopefully someone who knows a lot more than I do will come along and give you some advice. Good luck0

Catch a very nasty disease and claim off her insurance?

It's possible to get a new passport on the same day by going to one of their offices in person.
But it is more expensive, and the appointment needs to be booked in advance
Or have they said there are no appointments available?0 -
I think it is a first adult passport so I dont think this applies but thanks. Any more advice0

I am pretty sure that she can arrange an on the day passport and interview at a passport office, it cost money and you have call and book an appointment.

I recently renewed my daughter's passport by normal post, not paying the £7 check and send via the PO, sent off on the Wednesday morning and it was courier delivered on Monday morning at 10.10 am.
This was for a first adult passport btw but she already had a child's passport0 -

The term "1st adult passport" causes great confusion, it should be renamed 1st EVER passport for a person aged 16 or over. As your daughter already has a passport it will be treated as a renewal, even though it is as an adult. The only possible snag is, if she has changed appearance DRASTICALLY the pics will have to be countersigned.

Hiya, A first adult passport is £72.
I can see on the info I printed out yesterdey (for personal use) it says for the postoffice check and 1 week fast track service is £97 It also says by appointment only at passport office counters - guaranteed same day premium service is NOT AVAILABLE. Sooo it sound like you will not be going.
Can the person not join the party a little late? You could try the postoffice by quing early tomorrow to see what they sujest?....
Good Luck.If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
Spring begins on 21st March.0
