Nice if it were true - the evidence is that diet during WW2 and until the end of rationing was extremely healthy. Boring, but healthyI turned 50 in September 2004 & I think my generation is incredibly lucky. We had the benefit of a reasonable diet when we were growing up, unlike the war babies, so in general our long term health is better.
I think on retirement everyone should be issued with the sticker that says
"Retired and spending the kids inheritance" :j0 -
I am 54 tommorow knew i had reached middle age when i started to enjoy going on coach hollidays around britain and france with dh, we have been to some fantastic places, some out of season and really cheap, some of them 4 and 5 star hotels we are often the youngest on the coach but have met some lovely people:hello:What goes around - comes around

I went to a school for children with physical disabilities and was hospitalised for very long periods throughout my school years, consquently my education suffered , but when i was 51, forty years after i should of i did an english gcse, and passed , i did it just to prove i could.
I am a volunteer now, helping people with physical and learning disabilities , to get the best that they are able out of life, by helping others i have learned so many new and exciting things and often converse with and present to the future workforce in our health and social services sector:hello:What goes around - comes around

thanks fran and dobie i have had a lovely day spent with my daughters and their families, also visits throughout day from brothers and sisters and great niece.
enjoying a good red at the mo a present from daughter, do not feel any older than i did last year, so must be doing something right:hello:What goes around - comes around
