    Always treat any unsolicited pm with care and if you have any doubts about the sender please report to abuse.
  • It's okay I would never give my details to someone who contacted me through Pm asking for me to ring them and I hope no-one else would be so silly either....

    My problem is with Tiscali not some (maverick pseudo-rep called bob a job or thingy the fixer ) and I expect that company to sort my problems out....

  • Well it's been 72 hours since my daughter contacted Tiscali for the upteenth time & lo & behold! her connection is still not working :confused: should she give in to this & move on to another supplier or even go back to BT, yet again for the 3rd time in 2 years???

    Why is that BT have said everytime that they will get things up & running again in 24 hours & have come through with their promise????

    She's getting to the end of her tether with all this now - maybe we should even try 'thingytheFixer' :eek:

    cus when it was running alongside BT everything was great, no problems at all with her internet. It's only since she been trying to 'go over' to Tiscali for her Line Rental & calls (which is far cheaper than BT) that she's encountered all these problems.

    So unfortunately it might be back to BT. :mad: :mad:
  • Gonna go over to Tiscali's forum & see if 'RichtheFixer' can fix it for her - bet it's his day off today. see you when I get back guys ;) Hopefully with good news that everything is up & running...........
  • We had similar problems with Tiscali and ended up complaining via www.ispa.org.uk. They in turn contacted Tiscali who acknowledged the complaint via email within a day. Then their high level complaints team contacted us - at this stage ask for their direct line number and contact name.

    We did have to do a second complaint via the IPSA but it did work in the end!

    Stick with it! and Good Luck! - I still can't believe how bad their customer service is !
  • Tiscali is one of the most complained about ISP,s in the UK because amongst other things they provide substandard broadband connections,mess up phone line transfers from BT, and offer terrible levels of customer service. If you want more opinions on Tiscali see:

    Plenty of threads about their poor service on this site,heres just one of them.
