Is EDF the most expensive?
Options
Daughter is using EDf as her supplier for gas and electricity. This is her first flat and they have asked her for £90 dd for both that's include the discount etc. She is not going to be there for long and she does not want to switch. I thought it was a lot considering it is a 2beds flat. I live in a 3 bedrooms semi and mine dd debit is £70 with scottish power. Thanks

What you are paying in DD compared to what your daughter is is not the best jusdge of if she is paying too much because you may be paying too little, if you see what I mean. Plus everyone has totally different usage habits, even people in small dwellings can end up paying more than people living in larger places.
One rule of thumb is: If she is paying their standard tariff then she is DEFINITELY paying too much, it's entirely possible to make significant savings simply by transferring to the energy company's cheapest (usually online) tariff. HTH.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Thanks, yes she is paying the dual standard tariff, I cannot see any online tariff. I guess, winter is approaching and better to leave it and see how it goes. Her DD is based on previous tenants, two studens who used to rent the flat.0

Don't know much about EDF, tbh (I wouldn't personally pay my energy money to a company that is French-Govt majority owned, lol) but if they don't do an online tariff and your daughter is paying their standard tariff then please tell her if she doesn't move supplier she is effectively paying up to 25% too much for her fuel! It's such a simple procedure to switch ...Call me Carmine....

I see you've joined the silly double act, now I have to re-name you the Trumping Triumvirate.Of course the French Govt 'have the right idea'......if you live in France. Why would I wish to give my hard-earned to a foreign Govt? Come on, KY (oops, rather ironic initials when singleton espresso is talking about @rses and elbows :rotfl: ) do keep up.

Why would I wish to give my hard-earned keep to keep YOUR parents or grandparents warm? Buy your own family blankets or pay your own family's heating bills and stop demanding others are charged extra to pay for them. Or get your own children to pay for your bills.
Same difference.0 -

Thanks, she is on a short contract, so really it will not be worth switching. Also it states in her contract, she needs the landlord's permission to switch, they seem to be more expensvie.0
