Hi, has anyone flown with KLM from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, just wondering what they are like, not much info in their webby site.
Thanks.
Thanks.

They are fine, a full-service airline but no champagne.
Read reviews on a site like airlinequality. Their staff are helpful but with a blunt and whacky sense of humour (very Dutch).0 -
Thanks, never experienced dutch humour before.
Taking a child and baby with us, what are the facilities like for babies?I hate migraines.0 -

I've flown with KLM more times than I care to remember and if you are flying AMS to HKG direct with KLM rather than on an Air France code share, there is every chance that you will be on a 747-400 (744) or a 747-400 combi.
If you have your flight numbers, it is possible to check what plane and confguration you will be on? Are you on KL887 and KL888?
Unfortunately, the above are old and likely to be poorly equipped in economy with the only in-flight entertainment being 12 audio channels of guff and movies shown on screens doted about the plane.
The other bad news it that the 747-400 does not have any bulkhead seats as such, so the option to put babies in bassinet seats to sleep does not exist as far as I know. (see seat plan for KLMs 747-400 below)

Hi
I've used KLM to fly economy class from Amsterdam to Hong Kong and back this August and last August as well. KLM was fine, didn't have any problems or delays. If you want a vegetarian meal you will need to book it in advance though as they only have a limited number. Food was fine though and they regularly came around with drinks as well. They had quite a good range of movies and programmes on and they give you headphones at the beginning of the flight.2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher0 -

KLM's 747-400s really are poor, or rather the three sections twelve abreast in 3x4x3 configuration that feel like small theatres are poor, because rows 9 to 17 which is a 2x3 configuration are actually OK, as long as you don't need in-flight entertainment.
Funnily enough though, in complete contrast the economy seats on the upper deck of their Skyteam partner Air France's 747-400 are some of the best economy seats avilable from any airline.
