unlocking for free or cheapest method

Thank you for your help, but my mobile is CID53 and I think this method works only on CID52 and below.

Oh sorry I thought it was just a K770, I didnt see the i !!! My eyes aren't working yet !! What network is the phone locked to ?

Haha, no problem. It's locked to Virgin.

If its on pay as you I dont know if they are still doing this but as long as you have put £20 credit on you they supply you the unlock code.

Great, so now I have at least method of unlocking (if it's still available). In the town centre where I live there is a market stall that unlocks mobiles, do you think they will be able to unlock mine for a reasonable price? Or would it be wise to try one of those internet sites that do it?

Virgin no longer do this for free, they charge £15.

You can always find out how much they charge at your local shop/stall, be wary of certain sites that can offer it for as little as £3.99 as they are the ones that rip you off, I would recommend this site
