It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

No need to be ashamed at all!
you're doing something about it, even if it takes a while it takes guts.
the shame is in continuing to bury your head in the sand!

Ta love. It just seems like forever away, when most people's DFD is in the next few years.

  • I love it's limited imagination though - we are all fat, on benefits, with 5 kids, living on rough council estates and should grow our own vegetables!!!

That'd be me then, with 3 kids....as i pawned the others off...rolling laugh
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I agree with Linda about little steps - at £1 per debt per month I'll be long dead before it's due to finish, but I'm not looking at it like that. Hopefully I can start putting a little bit away for f&f's, if I looked at it long term I'd just get too depressed (and have done in the past).
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Exactly Ames!
Don't waste the life and good health that you have fretting every minute about the debt and how long it's going to take.
You'll see at the meet in Feb '09, as long as we've all got each other for support, it'll happen.

I think we all go through low points Ames, like mine at the moment.

I just keep thinking about different options. Should we sell up and buy somewhere smaller/cheaper, become DF and MF but knowing that we would never be able to return to living in a house like this again.

We need to win the lottery !!

  • I keep saying that but I need to buy a ticket first!

I am going back to bingo tonight so keep your fingers crossed for me, could just do with another big win!
