oooooooooh, that's the weekend of OH's birthday (sad smiley!!). It's his 50th (eeeek!) on the 10th and his family are coming down on the 11th for a surprise dinner (which I have to try to co-ordinate at a restaurant somewhere!!) It's going to be a nightmare as England are playing on the 11th and he will be planning to watch it with his beer mates. I've roped his son in to get him into town but it's going to be touch and go whether it will work. BB... I had a friend that couldn't drive further than 8 miles from our home town.She got one of Paul Mckenna's book it has a CD in it you have to listen to and she said it really gave her confidence in her driving. I think it's called Instant confidence. She needed to drive further for her job so had to do something. Don't know wether that could be an option for you?
I remember when I first passed my test (3rd time lucky for me) I drove at the night time to try and get used to it, I remember hitting roadworks, oh my god I was a nervous wreck, I was sweating and shaking like mad and although I got over that I feel terrible for you if thats how you feel each time you're faced with driving anything over 4 miles.
Also when I took my driving test my instructor told me to try rescue remedy, have you tried it? I really worked for me! It;s just a spray you spray it a couple of times on your tongue to calm your nerves.
