Apparantly they do a check on your address to see if you are an existing customer, so do you think it would work if you used another name, i would love to try. Any sky ppl out there to give us advice?, thanks :)

Thank you thank you thank you , just rang sky via (saynoto0870) told them new customer reward and daily mirror offer portable dvd, at first he said i can only have one or the other, i was patient and then said i was disappointed at not recieving both offers and would ring back after considering the offer to which he replied he will speak to his supervisor, one minute later SUCCESS both offers on their way to me......way to go little buddie..... :grouphug:
  • Does the Monthly Equipment subscription fee applies for the first 3 months?

    So the sums are:

    Sky+ Box + Dish : £0.00
    Install: £0.00
    Viewing package: £7.50 for 3 months (£22.50)
    Viewing package: £15.00 for 9 months (£135.00)

So the first year will cost you: £157.50

As I am debating getting this or a Freeview recorder.

Will the unit still be able to record when the year is up when the contract is cancelled?

Is there a code for the free DVD offer? What do you have to quote them?

TOTALLY wrong calculations mate. With a Sky+ box you can add £10 per month on top of your calculations, UNLESS you buy a Sports or Movies package in which case Sky+ features are free

Ah, I missed that - a bit of a con really - so the final total for 1 year of sky would be £279.50 then! Blimy

better off with a freeview recorder! at a price of £119.99 from argos. Well, that answered my own question.
  • yes but you also need to take into consideration the costs involved with getting a new ariel if required.

I have emailed Sky requesting my DVD player  I would've telephoned them, but i placed my order online. I have made them aware that a "freind of mine" received both offers. Lets see what happens ;)

I am going to get my mum to phone them tomorrow (well today really) as I just got her to join 3 weeks ago - she paid for her sky plus box so I am going get her to ask for the offers to be added to her account retrospectively otherwise she will tell them that she will just cancel and reorder - thus causing more work/hassle for both SKY and herself - will let you all know how it goes :)
