  • Accountz works for Mac

    I'm using it

It is very simple ( eg single currency )

But I'm getting quite attached to it.

I took the plunge and bought the Accountz program (on Amazon as it was cheaper).

Initially I did not like it as it is so different from Microsoft Money and I was even very tempted to bid for a copy of Money via Ebay for a silly amount of money!

BUT now that I have been using it for a while I am starting to really like it. It is different and sometimes a bit annoying BUT they have a fantastic customer support, there is an email address and also a forum which is equally useful so you can always find someone who knows how to sort out the problem you are having. :A

And the most important thing is that it works on Vista (unlike my copy of Microsoft Money). :T

I just created a spreadsheet in Excel

on one side I have a list of regular incoming and outgoing payments in date order

on the other side I keep tabs on all the payments as they go out with a 'running balance' and can see at a glance how much money I have left until the end of the month

I use open offices spreadsheet its free and if you know a little about spreadsheets its easy to setup an outgoing incoming folder
