    call 0800 952 5058 and quote 8386164
    or
to apply online at https://www.capitalone-lowrate.co.uk and quote 8349035

You also get 0% on purchases for the first 6 months

    Hope this helps somone.

It was the original Barclaycard 0% offer for life with a minimum monthly spend of £1.

I have a standing order of £1 to charity.

Although I received a £7,700 Credit Limit, I actually transferred £7,300 which at the monthly payment rate, it will take me a lifetime to pay off and the charity gets £12 per year.

    Best deal ever!!! ;D

Stead, the way I would do it is to do a balance transfer from your credit card to your current account then draw the cash from there. This depends of course on your credit card allowing tranfers to a current account. To the best of my knowledge mbna and abbey both alow this. If your card does not allow this you will have to get an mbna or abbey card and do a balance transfer from your card to your new card. Then transfer as above from your new card to your current account. This works for me, hope it will for you.

    Best of luck

  • Whilst looking for a new interest free balance transfer, I have come across the Lloyds TSB Advance card, offering interest free credit for balance transfers for 12 months. Does anyone have any comments on this card.

Came across this too - while looking for a train at https://www.thetrainline.com - and applied straight away because my MINT card runs out at the end of September so need to move my balance again. Got accepted so waiting for the paperwork. Just need to find out now how much the limit is before signing on the dotted line. Can't see any catches - in fact the 11.9% APR is competitive for ongoing purchases.

The only downfall I can see to this one, is that there is no interest free period on purchases. I am only going to use this for the balance transfer and to make the minimum monthly repayments.

Hi several weeks ago i posted a question: How do you get money from a credit card without being charged. unfortunatley i have had 0 responces, although martin did say he would post a updated version last week but i've been unable to locate it, any help on this would be much appriciated. cheers :o
Take out credit cards first,Then carry out super balance transfers. That way you can transfer their money direct in to your Current account .once in there do whatever you like .I used Egg card .with this you can SBT from their website by yourself.with other card i.e. barclays balance- transfer to egg and Sbt to your current account.Find a decent saving rate and tuck it away.ohh yeah don't forget the cheques too i.e. with MINT card.Read all these pages in this chat forum, its all here.
  • Hi there.

I was hoping for a little advice from you guy's, regarding the super balance transfer (with reference to the "revenge time" 0% credit card trick.

I am emigrating next year, and travelling first - so have been cutting things right back to the bone!

I have received both my egg and A&L 0% offer cards, but have stalled on the next move.

When I try to conduct a balance transfer via the web, they always request a)debt type and b) a reference No.

As I have no debt, how do I overcome this? I am a bit worried about taking this to the next stage!

From the articles on this site, it seems I should call them up and request a balance transfer to my current a/c. So do I just blatently lie when asked what the funds are for?

    Thanks for any help...

regards to all..... (great site Martin, thank you)

There is no need to lie. Both Egg and A&L (MBNA) allow you to transfer funds from your CC account to your current account. They won't ask what you're going to do with it and they don't care. They just want you to be in debt to them so they can make money out of you after the promo period has ended (but you don't let them!)
