I am on my PC not my wireless LAPTOP downstairs
It makes no difference, you must know the model number and manufacturer of the computer you want the drivers for. You don't need to be on that machine to download the drivers for it, you can be on any computer in the world with an internet connection.0 -
I have tried software from the LENOVO site for both the wireless and the broadband drivers and tried to install them without any luck. The system is reporting that the hardware is there but the drivers are not working with the hardware0

Can you give us specifics? The ACTUAL make and model of your laptop and the ACTUAL drivers required?:idea:0

Levono laptop 3000 n200 - broadcom netlink driver for the and the wireless 3945abg these are installed but not running0

so you dont need the drivers you need to get them working?
have you connected ot your wireless router? it may need a WEP encryption key. (usually found on the back or underneath the router) then scan for wireless networks then find your router and connect to it when it prompts for WEP key enter it and away you go,."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

In the 'device manager' do they have a yellow exclamation mark by them?
Are you ABSOLUTELY sure theyre the right ones as its possible to install the wrong drivers (LOOKING like they may work but dont)
Are you connecting via wireless or ethernet cable?
(Be an idea to use ethernet first to make sure the actual net works at all before delving into wireless):idea:0 -
I have a router with an open interface due the current problems. I have two other very old laptops which works fine with the router so it is not the problem there. I have compaired an IPCONFIG information from a 98 on the laptop and the new one. I have posted previous informatiom which every one agreed that the 98 system was working but not the XP one.0
