I know I am going to sound like a one trick pony, but I want to inform as many people as possible about these "job offers" from:
BlackRock Advertising

Hopefully the Google search will pick up some of these mentions of the name BlackRock Advertising.

Thank you MSE for providing myself (and many others) a platform to inform others of these charlatans who are taking advantage of the current financial situation.

Well I called the online agency (bit unfair to name them, as they had no idea, so I've not named them here) that BlackRock Advertising publicise the jobs that they are offering.

I had to locate a phone number, but they have now been informed of the underhand methods and basic untruths of the dodgy folk at BlackRock Advertising.

They say that they will remove them from their website, as they do not host people like this, they have a moral obligation to provide truths and facts on their website.

I just hope that the other people that I met there that day suss that this is a total con, met a couple of really lovely people there and would hate for them to fall foul of the shady dealings of BlackRock Advertising.

In fairness, I know sales wasn't for me but I applied anyway along with more sensibly chosen jobs that actually reflect my career (desperation can do funny things to your common sense) and am now waiting for the phone call/email inviting me for an interview.

I decided to do a google on the job reference number which started EMP and lo and behold after tapping in EMP Marketing in my area, Mantra Marketing popped up and I decided to do a little research. I've already found a few threads on google about this company, and if anyone chooses to check out their website mantramarketinggroup.co.uk (can't add links yet) it's hilarious! Half of the website is nothing but employee testimonies on how great it is to work for them and swiftly become a 'manager' under their development program. The other half is filled with the stereotypical inane group of young and wealthy 'professionals' grinning like monkeys in a zoo whilst allegedly in Madrid together enjoying the fruits of working for such a wonderful company. Yawn.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences of these dodgy 'Direct Marketing' companies! I'm literally counting every penny atm, waiting for invites to interviews and I could not have afforded the waste of petrol costs travelling to this pointless place.

I'm now waiting for the phonecall/email on Monday from them inviting me for an interview I might ask a few pertinent questions to whoever invites me (so, is this door-to-door? Will I be self employed?) just to see if they've got the balls to own up to it before interview. I'm going through relative hell right now in the finances/life situation, might as well find some humour in it :cool:

I was with Mantra in Bristol once for a couple of weeks, just one huge, huge con built up on lies and bad rubbish with fake people.

I have previously been "self employed" by Oratory Commerce, and wasted my life making money for someone who clearly didn't appreciate it and then dragged my name through the mud once I left saying that I "wasn't up to scratch" when really is was the company who wasnt up to scratch!!
I have never been in a place where things are so disorganised and where people who are full of "Juice" (ie crap) are put on such a high pedastle. The people the MD seems to put of this Juice pedastle are girls who are attractive and which most people belive he is...well you get the piture...
The people that this particular MD has promoted in the past have FAILED....one went to run his office in Ireland and it failed and is being supported by another MD over there....another went on a retrain 2 months AFTER he got promoted...this seems to be ringing alarm bells....
but wait an office that he opened a year previously got shut down because of the owner actually STOLE from people and he covered it up...
right so who the hell would ever want to work for this company....
I was blinded and I feel stupid that I wasted my time and effort after all the time I spent there...

Here You go a new scam. I just phoned them and when i asked if they were related to Felix something they even finished the name of the other company for me...and after checking google street view i realised i was there a couple of years ago. Now i am from Italy and work situation is bad down there and fake and useless jobs like this are a lot.
I remember that i had the feeling to be back there when i went for the interview....feeling that i never had before in UK...so here you go those are the new emails they are sending, new names and new phone numbers....but you know....SAME ADDRESS AS USUAL!!!

I'd like to say a huge thank you to all users of this thread and to moneysavingexpert.com for hosting it. I have like many, been desperately trying to secure employment and in a difficult market, companies like this are real b!"$"ards.

I really got my hopes up when I found a voicemail on my phone from SARAH at PARAMOUNT FORCE in Manchester offering me an interview. They also indicated that they'd emailed me and they still havent. The call was also very quick and half hearted. It was hard to even make out what the company name was! But like the wise I did my background research first and this thread came up. So I shall not be wasting my time! Thank you everyone!!

I have been away from the country a few years and its people like this that remind me why. I know it goes on world wide and in different formats but the UK is an AMAZING place to be... but sadly getting bogged down in all this makes me want to leave the country for good. Proud to be British.. I know what I WANT to say.. then I look around...

Bottom line - This was from Paramount in Manchester. And got me :mad: because genuinely trying to seek employment to supoort my family! Not sure if junk but judging by this thread and their sloppy website (I agree targeted at WORKERS and not customers) --> Market leaders my dogs giggly bits! I wont be following up! Im not sure if you can post their number on here can you? If you can will be happy too. How can we get things like this shut down??

Funny as well I research all the jobs I apply too and I did not apply to this one. They are clearly picking up your details from public searchable CV's on jobsearch websites recommended to by the likes of Totaljobs.com, monster.com, salestarget.co.uk. Im usually very careful with my info but when you're job hunting you have to put yourself out there.. No negative to these websites, just strongly suspect this is how they are getting your info so keep a job application diary!

Don't get me wrong. I thing these companies are spivs and scamsters too, having been to an 'interview' myself with a dodgy outfit in Leeds called Centurion Marketing a couple of years ago.
