By the way which eBay sellers are qualifying their information as "for educational purposes only" or "you are responsible for informing Sky of your actions" this would appear to be illegal.

This has been on here before.

Its something along the lines of connecting up the wires that would normally go to the phone to a battery (9v - one wire each bit) which supposedly tricks the box into thinking it has called, or can't call or something - because the box calls sky to let them know what has been ordered.

Anyway, it is supposed to be bunkum - most boxes have a credit limit (figured badied around have been £10, £20 or £50) and once you reach that limit you can't get any more ppv until the box calls in. The next time you call in it uploads all the info and you are stuck with a very large bill. So basically you can get limited free sky as long as you never connect the box to the phone ever.

Its easy to find this on the net without paying someone on ebay for it.

there is no know free sky hack, they are all scams or you get billed in the end so if I was you I would steer clear of any

  • The Freebies section of this forum is only to be used to discuss legal ways of saving money. To me this seems at best a grey area and at worst illegal. In any case we need to err on the side of caution so I would request we leave this topic alone.

Seen this on so many forums. Most of what has been said is true

    1. It's illegal
    2. It doesn't work
    3. You get charged eventually
    4. You wasted 99p

Better to delete this entire thread.
