unlock Samsung j600

Hi hope someone can help.

My wife hasn’t had much luck of late, first she dropped her u600 in the bath (don’t ask) then 2 weeks ago proceeded in giving my g600 a 40 degree wash.

I contacted the insurance company and as usual the document wasn’t worth the paper it was printed – No surprise there.

We’ve now got her a Samsung j600 on the tesco network (cheapest handset offer) BUT we use TMobile.

Can any tell me if it is possible to unlock the j600 for free as this is costing me an arm & a leg.

We’ve never had dealings with unlocking before so if someone can help I will need an idiots guide in going so.

Many thanks for your time reading he above Even more thanks if you can help

Cheers

Chris

  • Hi again Chris

I've not heard of a free way to unlock the J600, there maybe some free codes dotted around the internet but I recommend staying clear of those as they may change the IMEI number of the phone to 000000000000000, and that will make the phone not work. I would take it to a car boot where they will have the hardware and cables to unlock it and will cost about a £5.
  • Fancy hearing from you Jay lol…

Once again you’ve proven to be a font of knowledge today, and again many thanks

did you manage to unlock samsung g600?

I was planning to buy a samsung g600 on tesco mobile PAYG for my son's birthday.
but they've gone out of stock online and none in local tesco stores.

he's really keen on that particular phone, and I was keen on tesco mobile PAYG.

the phone is available on the shelves on orange PAYG, but I'm rather nervous about unlocking a brand new and rather expensive/fancy phone.

a guy in the shop told me that samsungs are hard to unlock, and it wasn't worth the bother.

thats their usual line, if you unlock and use on a different network they dont get their commisions.

as with most new phones it is an easy unlock for a pro with the right kit
