It's actually a lot better than the strikes last year. I only went 4 or 5 days without post this time and am now back to a delivery every day again of non-delayed mail. Sadly I think there's a cheque from the tax man stuck in the backlog and it's likely to be weeks before I see it :mad:0 -

well not really.the strikes everyone goes on about were about trying to get RM to look realisticaly about the savings they are briniging in
i could go on more but im heading for work to do the work that couldnt be done yesterday due to no staff............................................0 -
Why don't they mention anything about the Pegasus problem on the Royal Mail website? I have a first class recorded packet that hasn't arrived yet, was sent 10 days ago, can't get tracking as it's not been delivered yet, yet I don't know where the pegasus problem is, or if it could be a reason for my problem.0

She didn't claim she was able to track it she said she contacted Royal Mail and it took a week for them to get back and they were able to track it to the Post Office but no further.0 -

She didnt claim that in the email I posted above no, but I asked her about the tracking number and she later claimed it had worked for her
Either way I have now requested a full refund. She will be getting a neg as soon as I receive it.0 -

Sorry custardy, I only meant the impact on us customers isn't as bad as during the strikes last year. I have no idea what it's like for the lovely guys and girls who are trying to do the work so can't make any comment on that.0 -
and im back
as for why do RM not metion it on the site
well thats easy
according to RM pegasus works,so there isnt a problem to metion on the site ifygwim
pegasus or as its sometimes referred to georoute is just a piece of software
you give it perameters and data on a walk/duty and it tells you if its too long/short allowing RM to act accordingly with empirical data to back it up
nearly every office ive heard of being pegasus'd has resulted in walks being made bigger
i heard of one office where it took 3 attempts before RM got the results they were happy with.0 -
You know, Im not an unreasonable person, and I can appreciate that genuine problems with Royal Mail are out of the sellers hands.
What has irked me so much with this case is despite half a dozen emails spanning a week this seller could not be bothered to reply to me (despite listing items and leaving feedback) until I filed with paypal, and then it was within the hour.0 -
Yea I can totally agree with you on the communication fact. As a seller, we have had packages delayed, but we endeavour to reply to every email we get sent, good or bad, so that the buyer knows that we are involved.
Feel the same as a seller, when buyer buys item, doesn't email or anything for a week, gets send a polite reminder, only to reply with a "Hi I will send your payment shortly"... There wouldn't be so bad feelings and bad transactions if buyer and seller kept communicating, because if you don't get a reply, you always tend to think the worse.0
