They are registered with Corgi...........
I wonder if things will be any easier/better when the gas registration changes to Capita next year?
RGIs need to operate in a legal/competent manner and consumers need to protect/educate themselves. You should have one of these . Capita or CORGI
.... who ever has the franchise it doesn't make a bit of difference to how my OH runs his business but it might matter to the cowboys and illegals...I'm not holding my breath.;)

Hiya all,
I was just about to start a new thread when I saw this one.
I am soon to be buying a woodburning stove and got a quote in to install it and line my chimney.
The quote was for £1000 (cash).
This would not include the burner, building or supplying the hearth, leveling the fireplace or anything like that.
It sounded extroadinarily high at the time - and now even more so!
Anyone in the Cheshire or Manchester area who could suggest someone who could actually quote sensibly?
Thanks!

Ours was a logistic and legal nightmare, but in the end obtained the Flexible chimney liner online from Just Flues and the rest of the bits from Stoves online.
For peace of minds sake got a local corgi(or the new equivalent) registered installer to do the job. Still a little unsure as to the exact legal position on installing, despite reading this thread!
Thought we'd play safe.
Still saved a packet though I worked out.. Especially on the liner.
