Bio diesel Domestic Heating

Does anyone know of a domestic boiler for hot water and heating that will run on bio-diesel that we convert from used cooking oil? I am finding that the major manufacturers say no, they mainly sell boilers that run on 28 second kerosene and have not yet tested their products for the higher viscosity diesel or bio-diesel.
OR does anyone know how to convert a kerosene boiler to run on bio diesel?

I spoke to an old friend a couple of weeks ago. He's making and selling bio diesel in Leeds. He told me that there would be no problem running a domestic boiler on bio diesel. If it can run normally on diesel, it can run on bio diesel. Not sure he's an expert though but it set me off thinking. I'm working with a guy who's willing to give it a go and doing some further research to try and find out. If you get any further info, let me know and I'll do the same :beer:0

Thank you for your reply. I am also researching this. So far I have found only one UK supplier of diesel heaters that MIGHT be suitable for our purpose. They are KURANDA www.kuranda.co.uk They sell Dutch heaters, mainly for marine purposes but apparently can also be used in the domestic situation. I am trying to find out more I will let you know. Please keep in touch.deborahrourke wrote: »I spoke to an old friend a couple of weeks ago. He's making and selling bio diesel in Leeds.
