!!Refused Credit Card Need Help!!

MIXED OPINIONS I SEE, HOWEVER I MUST SAY, I WAS ONLY REQUIRING THE CARD FOR THE XMAS PERIOD, INSTEAD OF GOING INTO MY OVERDRAFT. I WAS INTENDING TO PAY IT BACK AT APPROX £50 A MONTH AND IT WOULD OF BEEN GREAT HAD IT BEEEN A 0% ON PURCHASES FOR 'x' AMOUNT OF TIME. HAVING LOOKED AT A LOT OF THE POST IN THE 'DEBT FREE WANNABE' FORUM, BELIEVE I WOULD BE SENSBLE!!!!!!!! POOR PEOPLE!!!

PROBLEM IS FINDING A CARD.

As long as you are sure you cna budget to pay off quickly:

I would try for the Egg card - you'll get 5 months at 0%. The green one not egg money. I found them pretty easy to get a card with £500 limit - got mine as a student on low income when others turned me down.

Of the other 0% out there right now, I can say:

- mint agreed and got a card to me in 10 days
- barclaycard took forever (this was last year)

i can't give opinions on virgin / capital one etc as i've not tried them.

I have fallen for a con and dont know how to get out it.....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

E VANQUIS advertised a credit card which would improve my credit rating.I filled in the form on-line and ticked the areement box.

When i went to use the card in which i hadnt realised i had paid £70 for,i could only bbuy goods on the internet at Inlated prices and expensive charges.

I had read on this site thet the company has an office in England and i wrote within 30 days to cancel the areement but have had no reply,has anyone else had any doings with this company and can i get my money back?

Your help would be appreciated
