If anyone can pick and post one of these for me I would be gratefull, I have tried for nearly a month now and am resigned to the fact that they are not popping up in my area or wouldn't ask as have already had three items picked up by very helpfull members and would prefer to see others get their as yet unobtained bargains but in this case I shall make an exception  ;D

I'm getting a bit paranoid as the store checkers have been down in my local for a fortnight now and I'm wondering if they aren't just switching them off when they see me coming!!

I had given up and thought i would be buying an alarm clock with just radio but this was in the argos sale brochure punched code in and its in stock (east kilbride) so bagged one and i had a £5 voucher to use to managed to get for £20 ;D ;D Lovley orange touch screen control, plugged it in and set it up and even hubby thought it great to wake up to the seal greatest hits

Hi, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, the kid's video recorder expired last nite (kinda ironic, the day that dixons say they will discontinue...). anyway are there any basic vhs recorders in the argos giveaway, does anyone have one reserved or bought that's unwanted and i could either pick up or buy off you? basic is fine, i suppose nicam would be a bare minimum basic though....... london area please. if not via argos, anyone care to suggest who else might be knocking them out cheap? already got dvd recorder (thanks sainsbury's thread) so dvd combo bargains are no particular use........ thanks

Have you posted on the 'I wanna' board too? You might get more help there perhaps?  :-/

Also try online price checkers like https://www.pricerunner.co.uk. They might give you an idea of what the cheapest machine is on the High Street/online, and spec etc.

Had mine out the box and it looks a decent bit of kit. Going to make a great Xmas present for the wife!
