Whats the code for the Sony CD Clock Radio, I could try my local stores down sarf?

i had reserved two watches in my local store. 1 watch turned up as ok, the other as cancelled. girl told me to check at jewellery counter.

i waited a few minutes and was about to give up as i thought it was cancelled. but no - it was in the store room with another one (also reserved by someone else)

so always best to double check.

I went to Manchester Arndale to collect a reservation kindly given to me by Pepperoni. When I went to the till it came up onscreen as reservation cancelled. The lady at the till went off, came back and said,

"Oh, sorry love, it hasn't come in on the delivery today."

Suddenly a pungent, familiar aroma wafted towards me (thats right Flanel No5-commonly known as b___sh_t).

"I didn't think r&r allowed me to reserve items that weren't in stock."

Off she goes to get the Manager.

A supervisor then tried;

(a)"We can't find it. Sorry."

and then

(b)"It hasn't come in on todays delivery"

I'm normally patient with people until I feel they are trying to pull the wool over my eyes and then I get rather short. So I must admit I questioned the integrity of her staff :-[

Off she goes to fetch another Manager(Roger).

He said that the mower was on the delivery paperwork but not physically on the delivery and this is why it was entered onto the system available to be reserved.

That smell started to subside until he said, in response to my questions about the glitches of such a system.

"It hasn't arrived"
"How can I r&r this item then? Surely I can only reserve this item and be told it is in stock, how many do I want etc. if it has arrived."

He repeated his reply about paperwork and then added, "Well its from old stock and I don't hink we're going to get any more in."

I don't understand how he can say that seconds after he said he is supposed to be getting it in, but it hasn't arrived yet....
??? ???

I don't mind the 1/2 day wasted etc. nor do I mind (much) that I didn't get what I went for, but I will always wonder who bought that mower, at least til Jan anyway.

I was quite happy to put it down to experience til I read the earlier post by dolphinl.

Oh well........back to my musical.
