Just a little moan.  I had reserved a couple of camcorders for someone and when they went to collect, they had been taken already - this is not really in the spirit of MSE.  We are trying to help each other out after all.

was it the leicester 417 branch?
I got reservation code from a freind whod reserved 2 g45's there and when i got to the store was told they had been SOLD.
some supervisor came down and said that they had been sold but i could have one, when i said that it had been 2 she told me that there was only one in the store and that was someone elses but i could have it. She also said 'THEY SHOULDN'T BE RESERVING THESE ITEMS.It was closing time yesterday so didn't have time to argue but was thinking that if what she said was true then perhaps that one you had reserved was the one they gave me? I'll be calling head office tommorrow to complain anyway.

dundee meant to be getting some ro stuff in later in the week guy behind counter told me in perth today as thier store to small to hold excess stock same with st andrews(staff from these branches rely on dundee ro stock for themselves), grabbed 2 g50 mobiles for mum & dad xmas,they gonna be so chuffed, perth does seem to be getting these (g50) in regularly guy said. there was 2 left at 3pm , "tell ur mates keep tryin" he added

just a little info from argos re the above.
sometimes we beat the staff to the bargains, ie stock on system before being checked off or actually delivered and our quick nimble fingers have hit the button at the right time and they miss out. Unfortunately, there are some staff/managers that think its their right to get it first and buy when the stock arrives so when you go to collect ....its gone!Now they wont tell you if it was a staff member that purchased it,lol, only say its been collected. I have no problem with staff getting first chance..................if the stock is there and hasn't been reserved.
So it was really just to say that its not only mse'rs that could have done it, but staff as well. Also please note this is not the only web site running a thread on the argos stuff, there's one on DVD reviewer- Bargain Buckets forum, its been there from the start too.............................. but its nowhere near as good as this one!!!!!!!!
