I'm always reading people saying 'god, don't know why anyone booked with them, writings been on the wall for ages - despite me never knowing the companies who go belly up.
Anyone predict the next airline to go under?
I’ve heard rumours that the next airline on the list is Monarch Airlines!!!0 -

Futura international are in financial difficulty and they did suspend flight for one day however futura international (for now) are not bust but are stuggling this has not been a good year for them.
Its such a shame if Futura international do,they they have been operating since 1989 and have been in no trouble until now. They are a fantastic airline with wonderfull commited employees, most which have worked for them for many years.
Taken from the link in post #11:
This week the Spanish airline Futura became the latest victim of rising fuel prices and stagnant demand. It has suspended flights and filed for administration.
The carrier operates flights between Palma and several British airports, including Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool. Futura Gael, the airline’s Irish subsidiary, has also cancelled all its flights.
I've been looking for a few days now and for the life of me I can't find anything concrete about this. I can find plenty about Zoom and XL, but nothing on Futura
I did ring First Choice this morning to ask them, they rang me back and said they should have some more information within the next couple of days.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

And just to illustrate your point, I haven't heard of ANY of those who've gone bust - not even XL
Also worth remembering that many people have lost their jobs - a holiday is the least of their worries.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
