I got an email from E7 as follows -
Your broadband line speed is currently 1Mbps but could be upgraded to 2Mbps for a one-off payment of just £16 for the rest of your subscription period.
During the month of December, once our network infrastructure upgrades are all completed, we will upgrade your line speed to 2Mbps and the line speed will remain at 2Mbps until the expiry date of your subscription at the time of the upgrade taking place. So if you were to renew your subscription before applying for this upgrade offer then you will get even more time on the 2Mbps line speed for the price of your current line speed. This could mean a saving of up to £480!
When your subscription renewal date approaches, you will have the option to continue at the new higher speed or revert back to your original speed completely free of charge.
If you would like to take advantage of this limited offer simply click on the link below and follow the simple instructions, it should take you no more than 90 seconds. Offer closes on 30th November 2005 and is only available to existing customers.
If you have any questions about this offer, please contact Customer Services by email or by calling 0870 224 5126.
As my current deal runs until June 2007 I said
YES PLEASE!
The actual increase in line speed does not go on until December but I think I can put up with that.

I'm with telewest and a couple of months ago they upgraded my 1mb broadband to 8 YES 8 mb - incidentally no extra cost - I didn't notice a diffrence!
Thinkin I was smarter than the average hound I downgraded my service to 512kb to save £10 a month - this wasn't as daft as it sounds as this was upgraded to 2mb.........what confuses me, is that the 2mb service is now slower than my original 1mb and before you think that I'd got used to 8mb - I only used it one evening.
I think this is just another marketing ploy - who really needs 8mb?0 -
peak times with e7even are terrible been with them for 9 mths of peak downloads are superb every time i contact them about peak time dowloads they say their enginers are working on it but it dosnt seem to be getting any better after 9mths0

I agree it is not good at times. But as I am contracted in I may as well go for an upgrade during the rest for as little as I can get it for.
I have also contacted them about the constant 'dropping out' of the connection and now given up.0 -
£16 for two years of dial up speeds doesn't sound a bad deal to me (shame this is on top of your normal subscription).
ROFLMAO........... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
