No connection with AVG/Grisoft here! Fine do what you want but you are choosing to listen to a small minority without trying it for yourself. If you were happy with 7.5, version 8 is far better.

As for Avast, it gives false positives in my experience.

Aside from the ONE problem ive had with avg which was just a few weeks ago and I had to reinstall it. Ive NEVER had a problem with AVG before and it finds nasties that Norton and Mcafee havnt (REAL nasties)
Im not saying install it, im saying it does a VERY good job (for free).
Avast I personally just dont like (personal preference) but I do recommend one or the other. AVG for fast computers and AVAST for the slower kind.

My AVG is not updating so this morning I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it is even worse my Antivirus and Antispyware are both out of date and nothing seems to work to update them they are last updated in June 2008.

Correction has now updated but now the email scanner is not working
