Dorothy Perkins Shoes...

I bought a pair of leather flats from Dorothy Perkins for an interview i had a week ago. I only wore them for a few hours but they have worn the skin away on the backs of my ankles, they are very sore and are not healing easily as walking and wearing shoes is preventing them from healing. I really don't think shoes that are designed to be worn with bare feet should do this! I want to complain but i'm not quite sure how to go about it, i'm not a very confronational person..

If I returned every pair of shoes that rubbed the back of my feet, I wouldn't have many pairs left! Lots of shoes rub at first and need to be 'worn in'.
It is up to you whether to return them or complain about them - if it were me I wouldn't but that's just me - but I'm not sure how far you will get if you are not a very confrontational person anyway

I would usually have agreed with this, because new shoes always rub and tear some skin off, but I'm currently having the same problem with a pair of flats from Next. I wore them around the house to wear them in, then when I wore them to work, I ended up with huge chunks of skin ripped of my heel and two of my toes on both feet. It took 2 weeks to heal before I could wear them again, and then it did exactly the same thing! I have 4 pairs of shoes from Next in the same size that only rubbed then improved after a couple of times wearing them, but these ones are hell on earth!!
Do you still have the receipt?
I'd go onto the DP webpage, and fill in their "contact us" form HERE to enquire what you should do.
Am still awaiting my reply from Next after emailing for a second time!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
All new shoes rub my feet, I must have delicate skin. It is annoying though.
I don't see how it can be prevented if you don't wear any socks/tights.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

I know that these types of shoes do wear in after a while and they can rub but i don't think i want to wear them again after what they have done to my feet! I reckon they will scar quite badly..
Hope you get a response from Next!0 -

Spooky... they have just replied saying I can take them back to my local store with my receipt or any proof of purchase, and the store manager will sort it out!
Hopefully they'll let me swap them for a different type or something! All my new shoes have always rubbed causing blisters worthy of plasters, but these ones ripped the skin off in chunks!! I had to wear flipflops to work as it was too painful to put any other pair of shoes on that touched my toes or heel, and a month on I still have nasty scars on 4 toes and both heels! And to think these were sensible flat shoes!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
