E mails Online Talktalk

Please forgive me if this has been discussed before but I decided sometime ago not to download my e-mails but leave them instead permanently online. This system has worked reasonably for me until now. Talktalk's site however seems to struggle with this principal and seems forever to be having maintenance work done to it or be in a state of flux. Recently it has become more & more difficult just sign in and expect the messages to be easily accessable. Frequently the inbox wont open, or if it does it doesn't open the e-mails. If you try sending e-mails it doesn't always say this has been completed successfully. I have hotmail addresses which work fine so it isn't my broadband connection I think.
Is anybody else having these problems with Talktalk and is there any light at the end of the tunnel?

Most ISP's free e-mail accounts are only fit for junk mail use. Use ISP independent e-mail accounts and you won't suffer these problems.
