Morgan Stanley have agreed to refund £80 of the £140 charges. Obviously it's a gppdwill gesture etc. And it's their full and final response to this enquiry. I will write for the rest of the money and then small claims.0

aliyah wrote:hi again! just to let those interested know - i received the list of charges from lloyds 5 days ago. after adding them up, i have paid a total of 1202.00 over a hundred pounds more than i thought!
then today i received another letter in response to the letter i sent (details in quote above)
"i was most concerned to learn of your complaint following your recent communication. thankyou for contacting us.
i have arranged for a member of my service recovery team to carry out an immediate investigation, so that you will receive a full response from us. because of the issues that you have raised, it may take a little time to gather all the information together, but we will respond to you within 15 days.
in the meantime i have enclosed a copy of the banks booklet 'how to voice your concerns'which gives you more details about resolving your complaint with us.
senior officer, service recovery centre"
i feel that things are not taking the course that i wanted, ie. are they just taking this as a customer services complaint?
the original 30 days i gave before legal action ends on 30th of march.
what do i do now?
dchurch/janet? any ideas anyone??

My sister has received a letter from HSBC saying that on the 2nd April they are going to take out £100 for bank charges.
She only receives benefits, is on her own with her children and can't afford this money to be taken out.
She has rang the bank but they are saying the charges are legal and there is nothing she can do about it, i told her to use the "First right of appropriation" which means she is entitled to the money as the only income is benefits a method i used a while ago and got the right results but they are not budging.
Is there anything she can do as she needs this money.
Not sure what the charges are for as the letter just states bank charges.Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -
Hello all, i have entered a small claims court againest HSBC, 2 weeks ago, on monday when i looked through my statements, i had another 75.00 charge. Anyway i rang the bank and told them they had not made me aware of the charges and i wanted them refunding, or i would add them to the small claims charges and it would 8%. Well blow me, i have had a letter from them this am, saying they have refunded me 75.00. I must stress it did take a very long conversation, and stress on monday am, it wasnt a simple 2 min call for the newbies to this!!
My question is, it says in the letter, that they have refunded this one charge and will not refund any futher charges in relation to bank charges. Now- where do i stand in regard to the small claims court charges. As i have "accepted" the charges will this cause problems?
And- how long does it take to hear any thing back form the small claims court? I have heard nothing. How long does it take for the court to decide who wins?
Many thanks0 -
ok im lost - i sent a letter over two weeks ago thinking it was the final one and that i would now go to the small claims court etc - ive just reread the letter which was downloaded from BAG site and this is what it says at the bottom...
My targets to resolve this matter
I hope that you will enter into a sincere dialogue with me about this matter and I am writing this letter to you on the assumption that you will prefer to do this than merely respond with standard letters and leaflets.
I will give you 14 days to reply to me accepting unconditionally my request in principle and letting me know a date by which I will receive payment.
If you do not respond or you do not respond positively within this time period, I shall send you a letter before action giving you a further 14 days in which to reflect. I believe that these targets are more than sufficient for a large company such as yours with dedicated staff and departments.
After that will be no further communication from me and I shall issue a claim at the expiry of the second deadline.
I need to send another letter giving them 14 days notice dont i but i cant log into the BAG site as i cant remember my log in etc and i find the site a little frightening as theres just so much information and people telling you to read the library - i did read the library but im still dont know which letter to send next - any help would be appreciatedWin £2012 in 2012 challenge 0/2012

you should always stick to what you have said . if you have said you will send them a letter before action next then that is what you should do.Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -
thank you
do you know which letter is next - ive managed to get back into the BAG site but im stumbling over which letters are in which order as im not sure the letter i sent should have had another 14 day leeway on the bottom and should have just given them the initial 14 days then said i was applying to the court...... does that make sense?
