I was with my friend bev on the Art Of Recycling Stand. she had jewellery made from sea glass, cheese boards made from melted bottles and handbag made from boiled woolly jumpers!
She did Elim too and I dont think it was ok but not brill.
Good luck for Rudolf Steinner, I have been told I wiill get my deposit back which is good news!
    Arty.
ps off tonight to Ballygilbertexhibition to collect my unsold paintings.
I counted them all out, (4) ranging from£75 to £95 lets hope I dont count them all back in.

Well, I wont be seeing "the old pillar box " Victoria Road again...YAY!

so I sold one out of four.
    Price sold £85
Cost of exhibiting £3 per painting =£12
Commision of 20% on sale price £17
    cost of frame£15
left .., about£40 hmmm...and then theres the paper , paint, never mind the effort!

  • So it IS cheaper to hire a table at a craft fair then??? (cheeky wink!!) Could you get someone else to run a table for you? I dont think Ive room on my table for paintaings! OR you could pretend not to be the artist and say you are running the table for a friend "and ISNT she talented..."
Anyway, WELL DONE ON YOUR SALE, that's fantastic to hear, and it must be lovely to think someone has your painting hanging on their wall and will see it every day....do you know who bought it?

Well at least I dont have to stand there all day pretending to be happy, lol!
Seriously though , you ( not you personally you understand) have trouble enough getting someone to spend £7.50 never mind £75.

Beverly dosent have any room at the inn , and they need a table of their own.But a good idea thanks.
If my daughters were about I could ask them to man the stall sometime, but they're both away at uni at present.

Funnily enough, it was a woman ( I think) from Holywood who bought it!
I had a quick glance at the sheet as the man was fetching my unsold pieces.
There didnt seem to be many sold altogether .

  • Good luck to all Rudolf Steiner-goers tomorrow! Lets hope we have a good day! Anyone know of any other fairs after this weekend - my sources have dried up a bit, but there must be one or two next week I could squeeze in to?!

You could try Bangor Heritage Centre Supermum. Next Sat.
Bev has the details, you may be too late and its possible you have to "make" the stuff yourself , not too sure about that.
Youve got Bevs email addy havent you?
