    I do scrapbooking - it's very addictive!!

I will photograph some to put on.

There are lots of online craft shops with a huge range of papers/embellishments etc.

My fave thing to scrapbook are very old family photos in a vintage style.

Have lots of fun doing it - it's a great hobby!
  • Fluffybishop - have you any tips for cheapish sites for the embellishments?? I've just bought a few buttons and mulberry paper flowers from ebay, oh - and a length of lace! I can't believe the price of some of the stuff, just because its from a particular range!!
  • I also love scrapbooking and make mini books and photo boxes as gifts for my family. I have used old chocolate boxes, mustard powder tins (painted & decorated) and small sweet tins.

There are loads of good sites for supplies on the internet and there is always Ebay.

I also find lace and buttons and bits like that from the market, they are much cheaper than buying in a craft shop. Try little antique shops, in the town i live there is one that has boxes of odds and ends in - found a lovely tin label in there the other day and the lady let me have it for nothing!

I like to make embellishments out of natural resources - when I'm walking my dog I collect feathers, bits of bark and have even had a go at pressing my own flowers (microwave flower press). There are so many things that you can collect for free when you are on your travels or at home - foil sweet wrappers, old birthday/christmas cards etc. if you have paints you can paint directly onto your pages or make tags.

With scrapbooking the ideas can be endless and it really is whatever takes your fancy - I'm a total addict and have turned our little study area into my scrapbooking place. In fact I'd love to spend my whole day scrapbooking but work gets in the way!

Have fun everyone and it's sooooo good meet other people who enjoy this wonderful hobby.

  • Naturesgift - lovely pages. I love the colours on the leopard one, and I love the bits of paper on the "nature's way" page, really clever.
MosaicWendy - thanks for all the tips!

Im a Yorkshire girl too, and I would like to know where you got your alphabets from are they chipboard or are they stickets? I have lots and lots of things for scrapbooking and card making but dont seem to have a lot of alphabets or numbers.

btw your scrapbook layouts are lovely.
