Thanks for your praises - I could get used to them - must fix my camera

The flowers look alright don't they - this was a class I did on line - didn't know what it would turn out like but it was ok. Everyone had this posh stuff to do the bubbles with but I just used bubblewrap and it came out ok - so you don't need expensive things sometimes you just have to improvise.

pinkladymel- I am scattymam1 on UKS, ha ha. Can't be bothered to think of a different name - not on there much these days mind cos always on here - p.s. was that you in scrapbook inspirations??? If it was you're famous.

Glue - I have one of everything but they're all acid free, I like my pritt stick style to stick down small things and letters and stuff, but I also have a clear runny glue that is good for everything else - ribbons, card, etc; and of course I have tape, and glue dots - I have so much stuff - It's terrible - inherited from my mum - she was a scrap book fanatic. But in scrapbooking she has left us with an amazing record of her life through her scrapbooks and her journalling. Also the ones she did of the kids will help them realise how much she loved them and what she thought of them so they can look at them when they're older. They can also look at the ones of her and see what she was like. They are such a gem for me at the moment to sit and read them and reminisce. Everyone should scrapbook - it is amazing.
  • It was me in scrapbook inspirations.. This months one? Why am I famous.. *runs off scared*

  • As promised yesterday pics of my scrapbook. I am quite proud of it as it was the first time I had attempted anything like it, yet now when I look on docraft and look at Mels above mine is nothing in comparison. There are another 6 pages but I left them out as some of them have the children in the bath etc which would rather not put on. I guess practice makes perfect etc.
anyway heres the pics and I will stop babbling!

  • Goodluck betterlife! I haven't started my 12x12 pages yet - I'm scared!
  • mine is only 6x6 as i thought it was a better size to give the children, and i have 4 to make! i will probably do a 12x12 one though sometime. is your scrapbook one of these ones that is already made for you to fill or are you doing it yourself.

A great place to start is a craft shop, but I'm afraid it's not very money saving, especially if you get hooked. But you can always look at the stuff then try to buy it online. docrafts.co.uk is a good place to start. They also do Goody Bags which have about £30 worth of stuff for £15, or if you're lucky I've found these goody bags in the sale at my local craft shop for £10. They usually contain a mix of cardmaking and scrapbooking stuff to try out.
  • Betterlife, the scrapbook is going to be a present for my Mum. I got a K and company scrap pad which was reduced, and its got 36 12x12 papers, and eight 12x12 sheets of stickers and die-cuts, so there's plenty there. Originally I was going to make a smaller scrapbook, but the papers are double sided so I thought it would be silly to cut them up and stick them down when I can just use them as they are and make use of the fact that they are double-sided. Here's a link for it: http://www.paperworkscardcraft.co.uk/acatalog/Hannah_Collection.html , its the second item down. The papers are absolutely gorgeous.
