Halfords version is also 2.99 I believe. Whilst we're on the subject of winter motoring I think it's probably worthwhile mentioning that everybody should be checking their anti-freeze levels. You can get a tester which is basically three mini-ballbearings inside a mini-turkey baster. Put it in your coolant resorvoir and let it fill up, as the balls are different density's they rise/fall according to how much anti-freeze is mixed in as a percentage. A simple graphical guide of the balls in different places shows what your level is. A bargain as £1.99 from Halfords, I checked my entire families with this little beauty in minutes. I hope this helps, have happy, SAFE winter motoring everybody. It wasn't me.............it was the one armed man!0

Apparently if you get the inside of the car nice and cold before you leave it at night, ie drive the last few yards with all the windows open, water will not condense on the glass and there will be no ice to scrape off in the morning.
Let me know how you get on !!!

This is the cheapest and best option. The last 1 or 2 miles, turn your heating off and open one (or two windows) about an inch to allow the temperature inside the car to equalize with that outside the car.
Secondly, clean the inside of the windscreen with a good screen cleaner (or water/vinegar solution) and dry/buff it thoroughly. Apply some Anti-mist solution (from Halfords or similar) costs about £4-£5. This should help prevent it and may reduce the need for the solution above.
Another way is to buy some silica gel and put that in a plastic bag - it will soak up a lot of the moisture in the car. It can be re-used by drying it out in an oven at 150 Deg C.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
