stupid question time from me again.. wouldnt the likes of halfords etc do something like this.. if anyone going halfords etc check them out..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -
Sounds like you would benefit from an engine pre-heater, such as the Kenlowe Hotstart
You do need a mains electric supply for it though, which limits its applications for some people.
Some vehicles can be fitted with a heater that uses the car's fuel as an energy source. The best known manufacturer is Eberspacher. These types are popular in Scandanavian countriesPeople are more important than things0 -
This web site has a heater that plugs into your cigarette lighter. 8 items down!
Car Heater
Not sure if its what you want! May do the job if it doesn't drain your battery.

PS: I just did a google search on 12V Car Heater and quite a few websites came up with different heaters so have a search around for the best deal!0 -

i too have a diesel car which takes ages to heat up.
i have a mannix car alarm with remote starter which my boyfriend bought from ebay and installed for me 2 christmases ago. i can sit in the house and start the car (with no key in the ignition and the doors remain locked) and eat my breakfast while the car heats up.
people always ask "but what if someone drives it away!" if anyone were to smash a window to unlock the door and get in and chance their arm driving away my pride and joy, two things would happen... the alarm would go bonkers and wake the whole street up the engine would shut off and be immobilised.
it's a great wee gizmo, but freaks some people out because the engine stays running when you stop and take the keys out, and only shuts off when you lock the car so the car can't be left in gear. (there are of course overrides if you wanted to park it in gear on a hill or whatever, but then the remote start doesn't work)0 -

I bought it in a local Cash and Carry for Garden equipment/pet food etc. and I am sure I paid nothing like as much as that. I am going there today to get some cat food and will check out the price and the RRP0 -
