I'm with AOL but have moved into a Shared Flat

I'm with AOL bb at my parents house (where I was living) but have recently moved into a flat share with a friend. We dont have a phone line yet and we both want to get wireless broady on a 50/50 split. Should I buy an AOL netgear router? but does this mean my flatmate will be able to access my emails etc? Or If I go with BT & the free hub, can I still access the aol software?
I know this sounds stupid, but Ive been with AOL for so long that it would be a nightmare to have to change my email address etc.
Thanks for any advice.

I don't think it matters who your ISP is.You can still access your aol email.Aol email is free. You don't need aols software to access your email.
If anyone wanted to access your email they could but it would be difficult if you had a strong password and changed it frequently.
I suggest go for the provider that offers you the best deal.0
