You don't actually need the Virgin drivers. Your OS should have all the drivers you need.
You can login to the router by connecting an ethernet cable, and then use your browser to go to www.routerlogin.net or http://192.168.0.1
You will be prompted for a username and password. These are 'admin' and 'password'.
See the Netgear cable router help page HERE. It should get you started. You can then get the wireless issue sorted.0 -

I have Virgin, using a Netgear wireless router, and have no Virgin software installed. You can configure the router settings when you log into the link above. Once you have established that you actually have an internet connection working, then you can look at the wireless issue.0

its not letting me put in admin and password is this because virgin have "locked" it??
sorry i know i'm a pain0 -
You're not a pain (just stuck
) and virgin can't lock your router.
You may have inadvertently changed the password at some stage. You should start from scratch here. Reset the router to factory settings (look on the label on the bottom of the router, it will show you how to do this. It's a small button you press with a pen or similar).
Once done, identify your router model from the label on the bottom, and go HERE.
Choose your model from the drop down list, and when the next page opens up, click on 'support page, with downloads' foryour model. All manner of setup guides there for the model you have.0 -

My laptop used to work all over the house but from a few weeks ago the only place I can get access is if I sit almost on top of my router

Bought any new gadgets for the house lately Diva?
Is the lappie wi-fi built in or a dongle/card?
Could be all sorts of reasons, but always look for the obvious first.0
